Uses Vecuronium bromide API is indicated as an adjunct to general anesthesia to facilitate both rapid sequence and routine tracheal intubation, and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.
Mechanism Of Action Vecuronium bromide API is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent. It works by binding to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at the motor endplate. This prevents the binding of acetylcholine, which is the neurotransmitter that normally causes muscle contraction. As a result, the muscles relax.
