Description: Tolterodin is a chiral drug that specifically and competitively binds to muscarine receptors. This relaxes the smooth muscles and is therefore used in the treatment of the overactive bladder. It works against too high urinary frequency (frequent urination), imperative urination (sudden urge) and urge incontinence (loss of control).
